Project highlights

We worked with Willbox to shape their brand and digital presence, creating the foundation that supported their first round of funding.

The project opened doors to partnerships with Perkbox, Chip, Eleos and Revolut, positioning Willbox as a trusted, design-led disruptor in the will-writing space.

With traction gaining in the market, Willbox contacted us to help them develop their branding, website, new look app user interface and marketing collateral. They wanted us to create a whole new look that spoke to the modernisation of their industry.

We needed to challenge the status quo and eliminate the stigma attached to will-writing by using colour, good design and a voice that was simplified and supportive to the overall customer journey.

Shaking up the industry

As a new player in the Wills, Trusts & Probate space, Willbox has introduced a purpose-built app that makes writing a will simple, accessible and stress-free.

By putting control back in the hands of individuals, Willbox is making it easier than ever to get important life affairs in order, without the need for a solicitor or a traditional will-writing firm. It’s a streamlined, digital-first solution that meets people where they are.

A considered use of colour to shift perception

Talking about death can make people feel uneasy, so it’s something many choose to avoid. That avoidance often feeds into anxiety.

We wanted the design to do the opposite. It needed to feel calm, grounding and supportive. That started with choosing a primary colour that softens anxious feelings, paired with three accent colours that gently guide, inform and reassure throughout the experience.

Bleu de France

Trustworthy, uplifting, confident, modern, reassuring. Used as the primary brand colour to promote calm and clarity while encouraging engagement.

Prussian Blue

Stable, grounding, secure, intelligent, serious. Adds depth and anchors the visual experience with quiet strength.

June Bud

Fresh, soothing, natural, hopeful, friendly. Softens the palette and introduces a sense of growth and optimism.

Selective Yellow

Warm, positive, focused, cheerful, energising. Draws attention gently, highlights key moments with an optimistic tone.

Red Salsa

Bold, emotive, confident, vibrant, compassionate. Used sparingly to emphasise with care, offering contrast without overwhelming.

White

White brings balance to the palette. It creates breathing space, supports clarity and helps soften the emotional tone of a difficult subject.

The redesigned Willbox interface brings a cleaner layout, smarter navigation and helpful guidance throughout.

It’s built to feel natural from the start, so users can move through the app with confidence and never feel lost along the way.

We designed and built the Willbox website to support the launch of their will-writing app by creating a clean, confident platform that explains the product and builds trust with new users.

With thoughtful messaging and clear calls to action, every section was designed to reflect the emotional sensitivity of the subject while keeping the user experience calm, practical and approachable.

Willbox secured new investment to grow the brand. The original site was retired Q3 2025 after supporting the brand’s early success.
